Christmas Recap

Mitchell had a wonderful first Christmas. He LOVES his exersaucer and basketball goal from Santa! He also had fun playing with the wrapping paper and bows. All the excitment of the day pooped the sweet boy out and he fell asleep sitting straight up with wrapping paper and teething ring in hand. In other news...Mitchell is sitting up. He cannot get into position himself (although he tries really hard) but once there, he can sit up and play.

Don't I look so precious in my cool hat!

1. He has a very sharp tooth and another one on the way!

2. He is rolling over!

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday Mitchell went to his first parade. Tupelo High School Homecoming is tonight and yesterday afternoon was the Homecoming parade. He had a great time. He was so cute dressed in his BOO! outfit. Tonight he will be a monkey! I will post pictures next week!

Cat Daddy from Cincinnati and My Pumpkin Jamas!

Jon Paul spent the weekend in Knoxville, TN on a 'guys trip' to watch the bulldogs play. Mama was a big girl and Mitchell and I stayed home all by ourselves on Friday night. On Saturday we went to the mall and got the cutest hat to go with Mitchell's car overalls. Doesn't he just look like a Cat Daddy from Cincinnati. He is also all ready for Halloween! He has the sweetest pajamas and ghost onsie. We also have big plans for our Monkey costume.

Golf with My Daddy

We spent last weekend at Old Waverly and Jon Paul played in the Chairman’s Cup Golf Tournament. On Sunday Mitchell went to watch the shoot out. Well, he slept most of the time and he had to go into the clubhouse because it was too hot but it made for a cute picture!

Mitchell's First Trip to Church

So obviously since I work at the church, Mitchell has already made a trip there. However, Sunday was our first time to actually be back for worship since he was born. It had been WAY too long and it was great to be back. Mitchell is already flirting with the ladies in the nursery. We snapped this family picture when we returned home.

Hail Dear Old State...

This past weekend Mitchell made it to his first home State game. It was a long day but at least we made it! Don't these two look so cute! Jon Paul took Mitchell to the walk through and he gave several players high fives! Mommy was sad because she got lost in the crowd with the video camera and missed it. I will post more pictues after this weekend!

Shots Aren't Going to Hold Me Down!

This morning Mitchell had his 2 month check-up. I cannot believe he is 8 weeks old today! He weighed and measured in the 95th percentile for his age. Stats: 13 ibs 1 oz and 24.75 inches. Such a big boy! He also had to get 2 S-H-O-T-S! Poor thing! He has been pretty fussy this afternoon but I managed to catch a smirk as he giggled on his playmat when we got home. Let’s hope he gets better soon. Check out the cool sticker his Daddy gave him!

Watch Me Smile!

Today my Dad and sister (Aunt Allie) babysat Mitchell while I went to my 6 week check-up. I have been trying to catch a picture of him smiling for several days. While I was gone they grabbed the camera and caught these adorable shots! You can also tell how he is loosing his hair in the front. It is starting to grow back blonde. Who knows what color it will be after it all grows back!

A very busy first month...

We are settling into life as parents and learning how to go without much sleep. Mitchell changes everyday and we are amazed at how precious he continues to get. He is such a wonderful gift from God! He has had a very busy first month of life. He has visited the Fair, Pickwick, and Carthage. He will make his first trip to Old Waverly this weekend. Below are just a couple of pictures of him at the fair. He remained asleep for pretty much the entire 4 hours he was there. I think the picture of Jon Paul, Andy, and Mitchell spells trouble! I will try to be better about posting!

My Growing Belly

I have had many requests for an updated belly picture! Please excuse the hair and the facial swollenness in these pictures. I thought I would post a few dated photos so you could compare the growth. Today marks 7 weeks until my due date. As I hear from family, friends and even strangers…I don’t look like I am going to make it until July 11. Take a look for yourself and see what you think!

Happy 24th Amy & Allie!

My baby sisters turn 24 today! They have never been "baby sisters" and I am definitely not the wiser older sibling by only 2 years and 2 weeks! They teach me everyday. I cannot wait to celebrate tonight! I love ya'll!
Happy Birthday to ya'll! Happy Birthday to ya'll! Happy 24th Birthday Amy and Allie! Happy Birthday to ya'll!

Weekend Getaway, Birthday Celebrations, and Birthing Class

This past weekend we went to the Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham, AL to celebrate Andy Rhea tuning 30 on May 3. Ross Bridge was so nice and I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. Friday night we hung around the resort and ate dinner and sat by the pool. Saturday morning the guys went to play golf and the girls went to the spa for pedicures. Then we all hung out and relaxed by the pool. Saturday night we drove down to five points and ate at The Highlands Grill. It was delicious! We topped the night off with my favorite course – dessert! I got Banana Cream Pie and all the men got Grandma White’s Fried Apple Pies. (Oddly enough…Mr. Frank had a Mamaw White who made delicious Fried Apple Pies.)
Sunday was my 26th Birthday. We had celebrated most of the weekend but my dad cooked a birthday dinner for me that night and we celebrated with a Rose’s cake from Creative Cakes! My favorite!

On Monday, Jon Paul and I went to our 3rd birthing class at the Women’s Hospital. Besides them making me extremely nervous about childbirth, they are helpful but boring. Jon Paul and I giggle like kindergartners as she tries to teach us about the stages of labor. Jon Paul doesn’t understand why she has to use food items in her descriptions. I agree. We could probably write an entire blog about this class and Jon Paul’s reactions but I will spare all of you who might not enjoy discussing childbirth and/or get our humor.

Rest, Crawfish, & a HOLE-IN-ONE

This weekend we had a wonderful and relaxing time at Old Waverly. I was so tired from the week and got some much needed rest. We drove down Friday night and cooked out on the patio with Andy, Mandy, Mr. Frank, and Mrs. Linda. Saturday night was the annual Crawfest. Everyone filled up on Crawfish but I made sure to save room for the dessert bar! It is my favorite course these days!

Saturday and Sunday the boys played in the Member/Member Golf Tournament. Sunday was a great day! Jon Paul made his first HOLE-IN-ONE on #3! I will have to post his picture with the lucky ball when I get it loaded to the computer.

Under Construction

Please excuse our blog as we try to figure this out!
